First meeting of the year! Agenda items (feel free to add more by replying to this thread):

- Welcome new members
- Meeting schedule for rest of term
- MUir update, show-and-tell
- Goals/projects for the year

Where and when are we meeting? What's on the agenda?

Meetings: 2009/2010 by thowethowe, 19 Aug 2009 20:28

I talked to Claudia about this; here's her response:

We took a quick look at the rooms at Main Campus. This is the list and their particular issues with moving the screens:
Gailhac 24,25,34,36,38,54,55,and 56 have a Cross above the screen.
Gailhac 50 and 51 do not have a Cross in the room. 51 might be getting changed around this summer.
Rowley 60 and 70 are the big (auditorium type) classrooms.
Rowley 61,62,64 and 78 are mounted at the ceiling
Rowley 68 and 71 can be raised about six inches.
Rowley 63 has a Cross above the screen.
Honors Room has the smart board.
Lab 5,6 and 7 are mounted at the ceiling. Lab 4 no projector but the screen is mounted at the ceiling.
We have not reviewed the classroom situation at the Ballston Center yet.

We can take care of the request to move the screens higher this summer. However, I need to investigate who do I need to talk about moving the Crosses located right above some of the screens.

What's your experience with specific classrooms? What do they do, have, smell like, and so on? What don't they do? What would you like to see improved? Heating/Air? Desks? Extra furniture? Window coverings? Weird noises? Create a NEW POST and share your experiences. You may also REPLY to any existing posts. Gailhac 51 is inconsistently heated/cooled. Students are always donning sweaters or doffing other articles of clothing. Two years ago one could control it using the box in the room; no more. Why can't we have access to that control?

How do we go about getting screens mounted higher on the wall?

Mount screens higher on wall? by thowethowe, 25 Feb 2009 18:45

Excellent, Mary Rose! Thanks for all your hard work. I'll take a look at everything before our meeting on Wednesday, and we can see where to go from there. Is the generated list of new titles available on the web—where can I go to take a look at the script?

Re: Library Resources--Mary Rose by thowethowe, 03 Feb 2009 16:02

Hi, Tonya,
I think I've gone about as far as I can go with getting stuff up here. I'm not sure at all what to put under the "Searching" page. I'm going to ask my colleagues to take a look at this stuff and make suggestions.

And I am looking for a way to get our New Titles up here. They are generated by a javascript and when I tried embedding it in the wiki structure it just didn't work. I'm looking into a "work-around" now.
Mary Rose

Good work so far, Mary Rose!

Hi, Ana—to insert a picture, you need to click the "insert image wizard" icon, in the second row of buttons, five from the right. I don't believe other files (documents) can be uploaded; however, you can cut and paste, which is easier to use with a wiki!

Just checking.
Trying to paste a picture but won't let me.
How do I post a file? I don't see 'attach' anywhere.
Ana
